Michael and Laurence Altman
Michael was born in London and studied for many years at the Lycée Français de Londres. He spent 25 years in the restaurant and catering industry, based in the Uk, travelling all over the world. He is a self-taught chef with a passion for cooking and creating new dishes. His admits to a simple and honest approach to cooking, hoping to encourage his guests to find confidence in their own abilities and talents around food and putting the technical side into perspective.
He is frequently visited by his collegues from abroad, who appreciate his traditional and contemporary culinary talent.
His French wife Laurence, is a specialist in art and antiques and is now a leading figure amongst the Bio-Therapists of the world. She will be only too happy to point you in the right direction for the local markets and antique dealers and also answer questions on French culture.
